Privacy Policy
Last updated September 27, 2026
Draft for review. Highlighted items are placeholders. Before launch, confirm every statement matches the released app (including any crash reporting or subscription service you add), fill the placeholders, and have it reviewed for the laws that apply to you (for example GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
The short version
- Your earnings, jobs, shifts, pay rules, tips and notes stay on your phone.
- We don't have accounts, and we never receive your earnings data.
- We don't sell or share personal information, and there are no ads.
- Notifications never show amounts.
- Anonymous usage (which features are used) is sent only if you say yes, and never includes your earnings, amounts, jobs, dates or notes.
1. Who is responsible
Quadlum LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company in the United States, makes Jibat and is responsible for this policy. Contact: hello@quadlum.com.
2. Information that stays on your device
Everything you enter or Jibat calculates is stored in a database on your phone: jobs and income sources, rates and pay rules, shifts and timers, tips and added pay, schedules, paychecks, goals, currency rates, costs, invoices, your clients' names and contact details, your own details for invoices, and settings. We don't collect it and can't see it.
It leaves your phone only when you choose to: saving a backup or transfer file, exporting a CSV, or sharing or emailing an invoice (which your phone's share sheet or mail app sends, not us). Those files go where you put them (for example your iCloud Drive, Google Drive or email), under that service's privacy terms. They aren't encrypted by Jibat, so store them somewhere you trust.
3. Information handled by others
- App stores. Apple and Google process downloads, purchases, subscriptions and refunds, and share with us the purchase status we need to unlock Pro. We don't receive your card details. See Apple's and Google's privacy policies.
- Subscription service. [If you use a service such as RevenueCat to check subscriptions, name it here and what it receives: an anonymous app user ID, purchase receipts and store transaction data, never earnings data.]
- Anonymous usage (only if you say yes). A few days after you add your first job, Jibat asks once whether to share anonymous usage; it's off unless you say yes, and you can change it any time in Settings. If you say yes, Jibat sends Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC) which features are used, such as "clock in", "cost added: gas" or "tax set-aside turned on", with the app version, phone model and operating system, a random ID for this installation, and the approximate country Google works out from the connection. It never sends your earnings, amounts, rates, job or project names, dates, notes or anything you type, and it doesn't use the advertising identifier or ad personalization. Turning it off stops sending and deletes what's waiting on your phone. See Google's privacy policy and firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- Crash reports. [Either "Jibat does not send crash reports", or name the provider and say reports contain technical details such as device model, OS version and the error, never earnings, jobs or notes.]
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you send, and use it only to reply.
- This website. [Say whether the site uses cookies or analytics. If it's static hosting only, say the host may keep standard server logs such as IP address and browser type for security.]
4. Permissions on your phone
- Notifications, for payday and shift reminders, missed clock-outs and the running timer. Optional; they never show amounts.
- Lock screen and widgets (Live Activities on iPhone, an ongoing notification on Android) show running timers. You can hide earnings there in Settings.
- Files, only when you save or open a backup or export.
- Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint, only if you turn on Lock Jibat. Your phone does the check; Jibat never receives your face, fingerprint or passcode.
- Internet, only to send anonymous usage if you say yes. Everything else works offline.
Jibat doesn't use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or advertising identifier.
5. How we use information
We use store purchase status to provide Pro, emails to answer you, and anonymous usage (if you said yes) only to see which features are used and make the app better. We don't profile you, sell data, or use it for advertising.
6. Keeping and deleting data
Data on your phone stays until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Support emails are kept for [period] and then deleted. Because we don't hold your earnings data, we can't restore it; keep your own backups.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict its use. For data on your phone, you can do all of this yourself in the app (edit, delete, export CSV or a backup). For anything we hold, such as support emails, write to hello@quadlum.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
Jibat isn't directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their information.
9. Security
Your data is protected by your phone's own security (passcode, encryption). Keep your phone locked and your backup files somewhere safe.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If we ever add a feature that sends data off your phone, such as sync, it will be optional and explained before you turn it on.
