A pay tracker for people paid by the hour or by the job. It times your shifts, prices them with your real pay rules (overtime, Sunday and night rates, holiday pay, tips, bonuses) and tells you what should arrive on payday.

Say it JIB-at. A jib catches the wind and helps turn it into forward motion. Jibat helps you do the same with your time: see where it goes and what comes from it, from a shift's pay to a finished project to hours spent volunteering.

Hourly workers, shift workers, people with two or three jobs, tipped staff, gig drivers and sellers, freelancers with projects, and anyone who wants to check their paycheck. Salaries can be tracked too.

Yes. Add an activity (+ › Activity) such as Studying, Volunteering or Workout. It has the same timer and calendar as a job, shows hours instead of money, and never mixes with your earnings. Set an hours goal, add notes to each session, and share an hours report. Free includes two activities. See Study, volunteering and workouts.

Yes, with Pro. Tap Focus on any running timer, pick a length (or rounds with breaks) and Jibat shows just the countdown and the task, and keeps the screen on. On Android it can turn on Do Not Disturb for the focus and put it back after. iPhone doesn't let apps turn on Focus, so turn one on from Control Center. Breaks pause an activity; a job keeps counting. See Focus mode.

Yes. In the focus setup, turn on Clock out when the focus ends (Stop for an activity, End for now for a project). The time is saved ending exactly when the focus ended, even if Jibat was closed at that moment. Jibat remembers the choice for that job or activity. Leave it off and the timer keeps running after the focus, shown on the focus screen.

No, one focus at a time, even with two timers running. Tap Focus on the other timer and Jibat asks first: Keep the focus you're in, or Switch focus. Switching ends the first focus early, but its timer keeps running.

No. Jibat doesn't lock or block other apps, and it doesn't read what else you use. On Android it can silence notifications with Do Not Disturb, only if you allow it; on iPhone, use a Focus from Control Center.

Yes. Open the activity, tap Hours report, pick the dates and share it as a PDF or a CSV. It lists every session with its date, times, hours and notes, and the total. It says it's your own log kept with a timer, not checked by anyone else, so it's up to them whether they accept it.

Yes. Free covers one hourly job, one gig or variable income source and one salary. Pro covers as many as you have. You can even run two timers at once when shifts overlap (Jibat asks first, so it's never by accident).

No. There's no sign-up, no email and no password. Everything is on your phone.

iPhone and Android phones. The lock screen timer and home screen widgets work on both.

Open the Sources tab and tap the job. Its page is grouped into How you're paid, When you work, Getting paid and On the calendar. The Finish setting up card at the top walks you through what's left. See Finish setting up.

With the rules you set per job: weekly (after 40 hours, for example), daily (after 8 hours a day), or both, at 1.5×, 2× or your own rate, plus double time after long days if your job has it. Hours are counted in order through the week, so the shift that crosses the line is split exactly where overtime starts. How to set it up.

Yes. Tap any shift to open its breakdown: each piece of work with its time range, rate and multiplier, then base pay, tips and any added pay, each on its own line.

They're handled. Each piece of work lands on the day it happened, and the clock change is counted in real hours worked.

Only if you want them to. A new rate can start today, on a date you choose, or apply to shifts already tracked. For existing shifts you see exactly what changes, like "+$42.00", before anything is saved. How to.

From a deduction rate you enter per job (for example 22%), or, once you record a paycheck with its net amount, from your real ratio of net to gross. It's an estimate, not tax advice.

Open the job, tap Extra pay, then Add a rule and Sunday premium. Change 1.25× if your rate is different, then save. Every Sunday shift is priced with it from then on, and you can apply it to past shifts too. This is a Pro feature. Full guide.

Extra pay › Add a rule › Night differential. It's set to +$2.00 an hour from 10 PM to 6 AM; change the hours and amount to match your job. Only the hours inside the window get the extra, so a 6 PM to 2 AM shift gets it for 4 hours.

Two ways. For a single shift, open it and tap Holiday or special pay (2×, for example); this is free. To pay the same holidays every year automatically, add a Holidays rule under Extra pay and pick the dates (Pro).

They add, the way most payroll does. A 1.25× Sunday in overtime at 1.5× pays 1.75× (1 + 0.5 + 0.25). A 2× holiday in overtime pays 2.5×.

Open the shift (or the gig payment) and tap Add pay. Choose bonus, commission, call-out pay, hazard pay, shift differential, holiday premium or other, enter the amount and an optional note. It shows as its own line and counts toward the day, week and paycheck.

Set Base pay per shift under the job's Extra pay. It's added to every shift from the date you choose. Free and Pro.

Open the shift and tap Paid for a different time, then enter 10. The shift keeps its real hours worked and pays for 10. Clear it to go back.

Turn on I receive tips on the job. Shifts then get Add tip, and the shift summary asks for tips when you clock out. Gig payments have a Tip field.

So Jibat can show what you'll earn before you work it: expected and projected pay for the week, the next paycheck and your goals. You also get a reminder 15 minutes before each shift, and a prompt if a scheduled shift goes untracked. How to.

Add one-off shifts as you get them instead of repeating ones. You can mix both, and mark any repeating shift as a Day off.

It's priced like real work, with your rate, overtime (counting hours already worked that week) and extra pay rules. It becomes real only when you work and track the shift.

Set the job's pay schedule. On payday, record the paycheck from the Next pay card. Jibat compares it with what you tracked for that period and shows Matched, short or over, with the amount. How to.

Open the pay period to see every shift in it and how each was paid. Common causes are a missed clock-in, a break paid differently, or a premium not applied. Jibat gives you the details to raise with your employer; it can't contact them for you.

Its pay period is closed because you recorded that paycheck. Tap Reopen when asked, make the change, and the difference shows against that paycheck.

Tap + › Expense or miles. Costs never change what you earned; Jibat shows what you kept next to it. See Expenses and miles.

For US dollars in miles, the IRS business rate for the day of the trip (72.5 cents from January 2026, 76 cents from July 1, 2026), built into the app so it works offline. Set your own rate in Settings › Mileage rate, or change the rate for one trip only on the form. In other currencies or kilometres, Jibat asks for your rate the first time.

Nothing: each trip keeps the rate it was saved with. New trips use the new rate once an app update includes it; until then, set it yourself in Settings › Mileage rate.

No. Jibat tracks your time and earnings. Tax set-aside is optional and off unless you turn it on: it shows a rough estimate of what to put away, worked out only from your own setup (a percent you pick, or the US federal brackets with the details you choose). It isn't a tax or business assessment, it isn't tax, legal or financial advice, and it isn't what you owe. Check irs.gov or ask a tax professional. See Tax set-aside.

Paychecks from most hourly and salary jobs already have tax taken out, so they're off to start. Turn a job on under Settings › Tax set-aside › Jobs that count if tax isn't taken out.

Yes. Pick a project, or a job and the dates, and Jibat fills in the work you haven't billed yet: each session or shift with its hours and pay. Add a line or a discount, and tax if you charge it. Share the PDF or email it from your phone, then mark it paid. See Invoices.

No. Work on an invoice isn't offered again, and adding it again is refused. If you void an invoice or delete a draft, its work can be billed again.

Your phone has no mail app or account set up. Jibat offers Share PDF instead, so you can send it with Gmail, WhatsApp or anything else.

Yes. When an invoice you sent passes its due date and isn't marked paid, Jibat reminds you the next morning and once more a week later. The reminder names the invoice and the client, never the amount, and tapping it opens the invoice. Mark it paid and the reminders stop. Turn them off at Settings › Notifications › Overdue invoices.

Yes for most languages. Invoices use fonts built into the app that cover Latin letters with accents, Greek, Cyrillic, Amharic and Tigrinya, and currency signs such as ₹, €, ₦ and ₱. Scripts whose letters join, such as Arabic and Hindi, aren't supported yet. Nothing is downloaded to make the PDF.

Edit the project and, under Tax on your price, pick Included and type the rate. Jibat then counts what's yours without the tax ($55 an hour with 10% included counts $50), and invoices for the project show the $50 and the $5 tax, so the client still sees $55. If you add tax on top of your price instead, pick Add on top.

Free makes 1 invoice a month, with "Made with Jibat" at the bottom. Pro makes as many as you need, without it.

On your phone, and in any backup file you choose to save. Your earnings never go to our servers.

Only if you say yes. A few days after you add your first job, Jibat asks once whether to share anonymous usage: which features are used, such as "clock in" or "cost added". It's off unless you say yes, and you can turn it off in Settings any time. Your earnings, amounts, jobs, dates and notes are never sent. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.

No. Tracking, pay rules, invoices and backups all work offline. The only thing that ever uses the internet is anonymous usage, and only if you say yes.

Yes. Turn on Settings › Lock Jibat to ask for Face ID, Touch ID, a fingerprint or your passcode. Your phone does the check; Jibat never sees it.

Yes. Settings › Appearance: System (follows your phone), Light or Dark.

No. Notifications never include amounts. You can also hide earnings on the lock screen timer and hide amounts on Home.

With Pro, Jibat saves a backup every day to your own iCloud Drive (iPhone) or Google account (Android), and a new phone finds it when you tap New phone? Restore a backup. On Free, save a backup file from Settings › Backup & transfer now and then: we never have a copy, so without a backup your data can't be recovered.

Save a transfer file on the old phone and open it on the new one. iPhone to Android and back both work. How to. Subscriptions don't move between Apple and Google; see below.

Delete the app. Since nothing is stored on our servers, that removes everything we could hold, apart from backup files you saved yourself.

$3.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US. Your store shows the price in your currency, including any taxes.

Every new install gets 30 days of Pro when you add your first job, with no card. Near the end you see a recap of what you tracked. If you don't subscribe, Jibat moves to Free. Nothing is charged.

All your tracked earnings stay visible and exportable. If you have more jobs than Free allows, you choose which to keep active; the others are paused with their history kept and come back if you subscribe again. Saved extra pay rules are kept but not applied.

In Jibat, open Settings › Subscription and tap Manage or cancel subscription. It opens the App Store or Google Play page for your subscription, where you cancel with one tap. You can also go there directly from your store account. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

Settings › Subscription shows Free, your trial and the days left, or Pro, with the buttons to manage, cancel or restore.

Purchases are made through Apple or Google, and they handle refunds. See the Refund Policy for how to ask.

Your data does, with a transfer file. Subscriptions don't transfer between the App Store and Google Play, so cancel on the old store and subscribe on the new one.

Open Settings › Subscription and tap Restore purchase, signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought with.

Something else is already running, and running two at once is usually a slip. If you meant it, tap Start anyway: two jobs are both paid in full and the overlap is flagged for you to check; an activity (studying, a workout) just runs alongside. Tick Don't warn me again to stop the question, and turn it back on at Settings › Warn before overlapping timers. A paused timer doesn't count, and the lock screen and widget buttons never ask.

Type a word in the search box at the top of Settings or of the + menu. Everyday words work: "dark" finds Appearance, "face id" finds Lock Jibat, "gym" finds Activity, "miles" finds Expense or miles, "bill" finds Invoice.

Open Settings. The first notification row says whether your phone lets Jibat notify. Tap Turn on for steps made for your phone, and check the reminder switches below it.

Open Jibat once; it refreshes the widget. If a widget looks cut off after an update, remove it and add it again.

Tap the Needs review banner on Home, then Set end time. Jibat suggests your usual shift length.

Two jobs' work was tracked at the same time. Both are paid. Open Needs review and tap Keep both if that's right, or fix one of them.

Check that the rule exists under the job's Extra pay and started before that shift. Rules apply from the date you choose; to fix past shifts, edit the rule and choose Apply to existing shifts. On Free, rules are kept but not applied.
